I promised updates on my daughter's new home in Annapolis. They found their new home in one weekend and it was the only home they bid on and won it. The inspection went perfectly. They put their house on the market this past Friday and reviewed bids last night and accepted one. So it is all go.
I am over the moon for them and so excited to help with the new home. Annapolis is the perfect combination of historical, preppy, and nautical, and she loves blue and white. And the house has a terrace, two decks, and a screened porch, so plenty of outdoor space to decorate - and inside too - it is four finished levels. Their inspector said it was the highest roof he had ever seen!
So expect lots of posts with blue and white preppy nautical chinoiserie. My pups will be so excited to meet their miniature schnauzer Millie on a road trip there this summer.
How exciting for your daughter and her family. You two will have lots of fun collaborating on the design for the new place. I love, love the chairs on this Carolyn Roehm porch.

DeleteLove Annapolis -- my second home and home port for years while I sailed every weekend there. Cruising & racing. It has grown incredibly but not surprising. Your daughter will love living there. ⛵💚⛵

DeleteCongratulations to your daughter and her husband for finding such a beautiful house, and that things went so smoothly for them. I'm not sure what it's like in the rest of the country. I believe in some areas the real estate market is hotter than others, but the bidding wars on houses in California is absolutely nuts! I feel so for people who are trying to get their foot in the door.

I don't follow California but the DC area is the 8th hottest in the country and here is the 4th hottest.
