Sleep

Slip Silk Sleep Mask

Sleep is on my mind today as I stayed up half the night watching election returns. I also wanted to report back that after using the original Casper pillows for a couple of months now, that I absolutely love them.

Have you noticed that sleep masks are a thing? They are everywhere. They increase melatonin production by removing light sources, important in urban areas. I also think they look very glamorous. I just ordered this beautiful pink striped silk one above.

Do any of you use a sleep mask? One would look very old Hollywood with feather trimmed pajamas like these. Loungewear is of course very hot with quarantining.

  1. I have a whole new wardrobe of pajamas! When the weather warms up, I'm shopping for Hilo Hatties on eBay!

    1. I was curious too, if you got the microfiber or down caster pillow?

  3. Have used a sleep mask nightly for about 5 years. Now I am unable to sleep without one. I love it. Those jammies are adorable!

  4. I use a sleep mask every day, putting it on around 5:00 AM. Though the one you ordered may look pretty, the molded masks that don't press on your eye area and have an adjustable strap are much better and more comfortable.

  5. Sleep masks can definitely look glamorous as in Breakfast at Tiffany's but they are not for me. Tried them on a plane for about 5 min and felt like I was blindfolded and missing out. At home or a hotel I can always darken the room but actually prefer not to sleep in pitch dark.

Now, I'm a huge fan of loungewear that doesn't look like pajamas--this in case I need to answer the door or step out the door for a minute. Love leggings, longer cotton T's and ballet slippers. Or fun, colorful palazzo pants with a snug boat-neck T. Gotta look decent at home. When you look good, you feel good.
