Samplize |
The traditional method of trying out paint colors has been to get paint samples and either paint swatches on your walls or buy poster board and paint boards. I have never liked either choice personally, but of course, deciding from an itsy bitsy paint chip is the worst idea of all.
Enter Samplize. Here is what they say:
Quick & Pre-Painted
Make faster design decisions without dealing with the hassle of paint. Simply peel and stick to view real paint on the wall.
Ships within 24 hours
Simple peel-and-stick application
No painting, no cleanup
No wasted material, no storage
Unlike traditional paint swatches which are merely dyed to mimic color, our paint samples are hand painted with the specific paint color from each company. Two coats are applied with rollers for color accuracy and texture that is as good as it gets.
Real manufacturer paint
Displays color just like a wall
Shows underlying wall texture
They sell for $5.95 each and there is a $5 coupon for your first order and free shipping on orders over $15.00. I plan to place an order in the next few days and will report back.
Thank you for all your great paint color suggestions. I will return to Benjamin Moore today to pick up swatches. Have any of you tried Samplize? BTW, this is not a sponsored post, I just love the idea of this.
I haven't used Samplize, but it sounds terrific. For one thing, it eliminates the mess of having to roll paint on your walls or on poster boards. For another thing, it would be less expensive than having to buy a bunch of paint samples. My Ben Moore store only sells samples in pints at $11 a pop. In addition, it solves the problem of having to dispose of leftover paint.
ReplyDeleteAll great points. Eliminates all the hassle.
DeleteI haven't yet but have looked at them and it seems like a great idea.
ReplyDeleteI will let everyone know, but the reviews seem great.
DeleteI have ordered from Samplize several times. It is a fabulous product and I highly recommend. Chasha
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment. Excellent!
DeleteSounds really good!
ReplyDeleteSamplize is great, used them many a time. But I also like to get a quart ea of my final 2 choices and paint about 24" X 24" swaths in say 3-4 different areas in the room. It's less expensive.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great tip! Thank you, Beth.
ReplyDeleteYou are so welcome. I love when someone comes up with a great idea.
DeleteI had read about this. Look forward to hearing how it goes. I spent a year of my life trying to find the perfect white. I dubbed myself the queen of quarts! Then you have to deal with recyling the stuff. I did find it helpful to have my own Ben Moore fan deck. You can order online! What white did I choose, I was so damn frustrated, I totally shifted and painted my living room, hall and parts of my kitchen black!!!!And BTW, I love it.
ReplyDeleteThat is really funny. I bet that's very dramatic!
DeleteI have more Benji quarts than you would ever believe. This is a great idea. I usually use foam core and make em myself.
ReplyDeleteI am ordering some this weekend.
