Today we begin a new series on setting the Chinoiserie table. For a formal dinner or for a special touch to any dinner, a place card, on its own or with a place card holder, is such an elegant addition. Above, a Chinoiserie table by Charlotte Moss with silverplated fortune cookie place card holders.

Love those fortune cookie place holders. I have elephants from Saint Hilaire.
ReplyDeleteInteresting to see that pagoda-on-a-bridge motif - it seems to have been borrowed from a print of the garden of one of the Habsburg palaces in Laxenburg, near Vienna.
ReplyDeleteThe fortune cookie and elephant placecard holders are awesome! I would love to have a chinoiserie themed thanksgiving one year and use these!
ReplyDeleteI love Mrs. Strong's cards-so chic! The table setting is exquisite--as always, attention to detail is everything! Have a great day, Barbara
ReplyDeleteThese are just gorgeous, Beth. i can't wait to see more of the series.
ReplyDeleteMelissa-Glad you like the book. The house is stunning.
ReplyDeletePemberley-You know I like elephants.
