Chinoiserie Chic has just celebrated one year. After 388 posts, I still feel that I have barely scratched the surface of this subject. The dining room below by Ruthie Sommers was in my first post introducing Chinoiserie Chic. I would never have dreamed of all the wonderful experiences and opportunities this blog has brought me. As a little thank you to all of you who follow Chinoiserie Chic, I would like to give away a copy of Joe Nye's new book Flair. Just leave a comment on this post by midnight (ET) this Friday, May 14th and you'll be entered. I'll announce the winner of the book on Saturday. If you have any ideas on topics you'd like to see covered, please mention that in your comment. Thanks for all your loyalty, emails, and comments. I look forward to another fun year here.

Oh my! I am so very flattered my mother's gift was included in a post. And thank you for sharing the diverse nature of chinoserie. It has deepened my obsession for all things bamboo, pink and green. As for a possible topic, I would love to know your favorite chinoserie influenced hotels.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday! I'm so glad I found this wonderful blog just in time for our master bedroom redo. You've helped me make braver choices!
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to have one of my favorite blogs be one that posts so many times in only a year !! You taught me that what I have been drawn to over the last 25years of decorating has a name. And it actually isn't just "Pottery Barn" :) Yay for "Chinoiserie". Big thanks for all you do. Patty
ReplyDeleteFirst I found the Annie Selke bed, then I found your blog, and then I was officially out of my mid-century rut. Thank you for a year of inspiration and for my obsession with terribly expensive hand-painted wallpaper. Happy Anniversary! (The book looks lovely...)
