Continuing with our series on Chinoiserie walls, today we take a look at some of the wonderful wallpapers offered by Thibaut. Thibaut is this nation's oldest continuously operating wallpaper firm. They are one of my favorite sources for wallpaper for price, selection, and quality for their Chinoiserie patterns. I am about to hang Masquerade in one of my bathrooms. Interior designers love Thibaut-it is a very high end look without the price tag. The red and white bedroom below is by Ruthie Sommers in Thibaut's South Beach.
Beth, I really enjoyed this post. Are you using Masquerade in that coral/pinky (at least that is the color on MY monitor!) colorway? I know you have said before that coral is your neutral. Whatever color you have chosen, I know that room will be lovely!
ReplyDeleteI think the 6th one, golden brown tone on tone, would look lovely lining the inside of a cream cabinet accented by a coffee colored stain.
ReplyDeleteI was about to use Masquerade!!!! Great minds think alike. I decide, however, I couldn't do it because it would be too close to some other competing papers. Maybe I can find an alternate here - great round up! :)
ReplyDeleteLOVE this post. Love Thibaut and use it all the time (including my office and office bathroom!) for exactly the reason you state. It delivers without breaking the bank.

Hi Beth, I love the 1st image in blue, however I really think the Gracie and DeGourneys from yesterday speak to me more, not sure why, adore them though!

I usually prefer fabric on walls to wallpaper, but am glad to see wallpaper making a comeback. I enjoy living with patterns and color. I thought I wanted to live in a white house with objects being the color, but gradually, color and pattern is having its way with me. Look forward to seeing your new bathroom redo.
ReplyDeleteI hope your paper hanger is quick as I will be dying to see it!
ReplyDeletewow wow i have just admitted to a wallpaper addiction and you are not helping!.......KG

ReplyDeleteGorgeous shots! This photo shoot was done at a good friend's house (c. 1880) here in Ashland and the spring wallpaper/fabric photo shoot was done at my house (c. 1858) - and what a fun week it was! What 'til you see what's coming...beautiful new papers especially. And I now have some fabulous new Chinoiserie fabric for our bedroom that I can't wait to use!
