Chinoiserie China Patterns

This lovely Kate Spade pattern Pompano Point Green by Lenox is a modern classic. The Chinoiserie inspired pattern was recommended by my blogger friend Skyla of Sanity Fair, one of my favorite blogs. It was discontinued in 2008, but is readily found online on eBay and at Replacements, Ltd. With its green and gold bamboo on white, it will go with virtually any color scheme. It would be stunning in a Hollywood Regency inspired blue and white dining room like my friend Averill at the wonderful blog Odi et Amo is planning. If you have a favorite Chinoiserie influenced china pattern, I'd love to hear.

  1. Simply stunning. I love just about every one of Kate Spade's china patterns. And you're right, it would look gorgeous in my new dining room.

Sometimes I wish I went for a more colorful choice for my wedding china (I selected Imperial Trellis by Vera Wang). While I still love my pattern, I'm definitely jonesing for some color.

  2. Averill-This pattern is a great mix-modern but traditional, with a little color. Wait until you see my wedding china-you will see that my taste has not changed!

  3. Hurrah! Thanks for featuring it :) I'm so sad about it being discontinued but I'm hoping to pick it up piece by piece. And I think it would be wonderful with Averill's new dining room - I'm so excited about her plans!

  4. SF-Luckily, it is easy to find. It is crazy how they keep discontinuing all these beauties. Thanks for the great idea.
