Spring Chinoiserie DIY

This Chinese Chippendale faux bamboo outdoor dinette set from the 1950s is available on 1st dibs for $6,400. Perhaps you have a patio set like this already or can find one at a yard sale. Paint it spring green and cover the cushions in pink Sunbrella terry.

  2. I am sure that these are Calcutta by Brown Jordan. Just last month I snagged five of these armchairs chairs and a larger rectangular table at a local "junque" store. They are in great shape, I am now even happier (no, let's just go ahead and say, ecstatic) with my purchase.

  3. I also am sure they are by Brown Jordan they have a lattice seat. I bought 5 of them years ago at a thirft store. I am planning on having them "powder coated" because i am tired on constantly repainting them, the detail on the seats is brutal to paint. First they sandblast them $30 chair the powder coat them. $40 a chair. Color choices are endless! Anyone have any experience with powder coating? $70 per chair seams a little pricey.

  4. Eddie, I have a call in to the supposedly best powder-coater in Alabama. I'll shout back when we finish if Beth doesn't mind. Since these little sassies retail for $1100 each per chair, new, I am willing to invest in getting them done correctly.
