Blue Chinoiserie Rooms-My Picks

The March issue of House Beautiful All About Blue, while well done enough, lacked rooms that knocked my socks off. Blue rooms and Chinoiserie are such a natural. Here are some of my favorites. Above, a room that has stood the test of time, the Chinese Room at Claydon House by John Fowler.

  3. Agree with you about the HB. Left me feeling blue. I'm not a pastel girl, but shouts of cobalt make me happy. Nice work.

  6. I thought there was something wrong with me that I wasn't wowed by this issue either. Glad I am not alone. Beautiful images. Especially love the 2nd Aerin Lauder one and the Mary McDonald office is divine!

  9. I'm a huge fan of blue rooms (my son has a navy blue room and my daughter has a very regal blue for her bedroom)...the images you have shared are beautiful...I especially love the third one!

  12. I love your perspective. Maybe you should start a weekly or monthly entry on reader's chinoiserie(sp) vignettes. The omnipresent belgian look is not leaving much room in the magazines for other styles of decorating, so it is fun to find this here.
