De Gournay in Short Measures

I know we all love de Gournay, and here are two small but lovely ways of including it in our homes, that are a bit more budget friendly than an entire wallpapered room. Pictured above is Athousa's Limited Edition de Gournay Jardinieres & Citrus Trees Diffuser. I bought one recently, and it is the most heavenly combination of Mandarin Orange, Sicilian Tangerine, Valencia Orange, Mountain Fir, Petitgrain, Lemon Leaves, Cedarwood, and White Musk. The bottle is beautiful. I am obsessed with home scents and this is to die for.

This wonderful idea is from the November issue of House Beautiful and is from interior designer Martha Angus. She used scraps of de Gournay left over from a showhouse project to cover the dining table, protected by Plexiglass. The napkin is aubergine with the menu on top, the flatware is face down European style. I bet you are curious to see the showhouse room too-click here for my previous post. Keep your eyes open on eBay for scraps of fabrics like Fortuny and wallpaper like de Gournay, Gracie, and Fromental. I bet many of you have something else de Gournay in your homes. 9. This is gorgeous, Beth! First off, when I see a product, I judge it by the packaging. Shame one me, but I can't help it! This one is truly lovely, as is that table setting (and chair!) I'm going to bookmark these for certain...
