It's a Wrap

Mark Sikes

Beautifully wrapped Christmas gifts in red, white and blue checks and polka dots. I ordered some wonderful gift wrap from Caspari and started wrapping Christmas gifts myself. I even watched a couple of You Tube videos on wrapping perfect gifts and learned a lot. One of the tips I tried is using double sided tape so no tape is visible. Another is creasing all of your edges so everything looks very crisp and finished.

I also love the coral in the fireplace. So beautiful.

People were asking about shadows from my new palm chandelier at night. Here it is.

Very Exciting Find

CCC

I found this stunning verdigris iron palm chandelier last week in Sarasota and my electricians hung it yesterday. I love it. It's hard to get a perspective on the size of it with the 12 foot ceilings, but it's huge - it measures 4 feet wide by about 4 feet high. It is vintage/antique and really exceptional. It is very heavy - the little ball on the bottom of the alabaster glass shade is solid lead for example. I have yet to find anything like it online. I'd love to know more about it. All that I know is that is came from an estate on Bay Shore Road that was being renovated, for you locals.

Palm Fronds

Heather Chadduck

I have long loved the look of palm fronds in a blue and white Chinese vase. Well, now I have six palm trees of my very own to cull from. Here is more inspiration. The last one is actually elephant ears which is a tropical but not in the palm family.
