| GivingTuesday |
Today is GivingTuesday. GivingTuesday is a global celebration of generosity, community, and collective positive impact. Held the Tuesday after Thanksgiving, this powerful giving movement mobilizes supporters worldwide and sparks a surge in donations right when year-end fundraising picks up.
The first GivingTuesday was held in 2012. It was founded to focus on gratitude and giving back to the community after the shopping-heavy days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
GivingTuesday 2025 is expected to build on the record-breaking momentum of previous years, with projections indicating another substantial increase in donations, potentially surpassing $4 billion in the U.S. alone.
Today is a great day to donate your time or monetarily to a favorite non-profit or charitable organization. I am donating to an organization right here in Venice, Florida that rescues senior dogs in South Florida called True and Faithful Pet Rescue Mission.
"We believe that true love knows no age or boundaries. That's why we are committed to saving senior dogs, providing them with the care and attention they need, and finding them loving homes. Together, we can change the world one dog at a time."
I hope you will consider donating to a favorite organization of yours today. Together we can make a difference. Thank you.

Thank you Beth for bringing awareness to Giving Tuesday. It's truly a blessing to to be able to give to one's charity of choice during the season of giving. I too donated and mine was to a sarcoma cancer foundation that affects a friend of mine. My transaction was through a third party ZEFFY which added an additional fee of $8.50. I believe the fee increases based on the donation amount. Call me OLD but I would prefer not to be charged additional fees. I hope these charities/foundations find a better method to process their donations in the future without the add ons. What happened to good old checks? Cheers-Mary
ReplyDeleteThat is the fault of the organization you donated to or perhaps the payment method you chose. The organization I just donated to accepts checks by mail (no fee), Zelle (no fee), and CashApp (no fee unless you use a credit card).
DeleteThank you for enlightening me on these other methods. I was directed to this sight. I will look to see if other donation options exist for this org and if not will make suggestion for future fund raisers. Snowy in the Burgh today. Enjoy your sunshine. Cheers-Mary
