My Orange & Black Guest Bath

CCC

CCC has a wing of the house with a vestibule, a guest bedroom, and a guest bath. It is very private for house guests with a pocket door closing it all off.

The guest bath is a full bath with a walk in shower with no steps or door. This was the room when I moved in.

I was thrilled to have a couple of leftover rolls of Clarence House Chinoiserie Baroque wallpaper that I used in my dining room in Alexandria, Virginia.

My painter used high gloss Benjamin Moore Tandoori on the wainscoting, crown molding, and door and he faux finished the column to look like raw silk.

I was happy to find a gorgeous black marble remnant for the vanity countertop. The art and the accessories are all from my home in Alexandria, Virginia. Almost everything was repurposed and it is a room I love.

  1. A stunning space! I always put out beautiful vintage guest towels, but nobody ever uses them. I suppose they wipe their wet hands on their slacks. Cheers.

    1. Thank you. I do put out pretty paper Caspari guest towels when I have guests coming over.

  3. First of all, I ADORE your linen towels, Beth. I am a sucker for beautiful linens. I started collecting vintage and antique linens when I was in my twenties. Those were the days when people just donated them to thrift shops when an older family member passed away. Either they were not something the heirs liked, or they were not considered to be of any value.

You MUST tell me where you got the orange Scalamandre bag with the zebras. It's just wonderful, and the Who Gives a C**p toilet paper - very clever.

Thank you for this fun, sassy post, Beth.

  4. I love and have tons of beautiful monochromed towels in rotation. And I always have to remind my guests to USE them. They are there to be used, not staged.

    1. Especially since COVID, I do not think people are comfortable using a cloth guest towel someone has already used or may have already used. I am completely disgusted as a guest finding a cloth guest towel that has been used by other guests. I always put out beautiful Caspari paper guest towels when entertaining. Not staging but hygiene.
