Hurricanes, Halloween, and Fall in Florida

CCC

With no fall foliage in South Florida, fall decorating is especially important to me. I am not complaining, I'll take palm trees and no leaves to rake any day!

Above is a little fall/Halloween vignette at CCC with two man in the moon ornaments and a pair of needlepoint skull booties.

We are halfway through hurricane season and Florida has had no tropical activity to date. Hopefully this will continue into the fall. Fingers crossed.

Monday is September 1 so I will start my fall decorating then. I can't wait for Halloween decorating. I plan on starting that the end of September. When do you decorate for Halloween? Not decorating for Halloween is not an acceptable answer - LOL. Halloween decorating has become very popular - my HomeGoods, for example, has thousands of items with new stock arriving daily.

If you want a more sophisticated adult approach to Halloween decorating, I like a color palette of black, white, and gold and skulls and skeletons.

I just ordered these eyeballs - they are made of Capiz shells for a beachy Halloween touch -
