Whimsy & Castles

I love adding whimsical and unexpected touches to my tablescapes. A while back I found these adorable brand new hand needlepointed palm tree baby slippers on eBay. This past week I decided to see if I could find others.

My search led me to scoring these -

And these arrived yesterday -

They are so fun and so Florida - palm trees and the skull and crossbones since Tampa is all about its legendary pirate history.


Did anyone watch Castle Impossible last night? I loved the pale blue bathroom and antique clawfoot bathtub and the hand painted mural. A follower with dual Ireland/U.S. citizenship wrote me recently suggesting I move to Ireland and buy and renovate an Irish castle. This show sure does make that sound appealing....

    Those small needlepoint slippers are adorable. Please tell me where you found the tablecloth that's in the first picture. Did not watch Castle Impossible last night, but will tonight. I love that show, Beth. Thank you for introducing it to me.

    Love the sweet needlepoint baby shoes! They add such an adorable touch! I also love all of your asparagus sauce servers.
