Setting the Spring/Summer Table

This is such pretty inspiration for setting the spring and summer table. A color palette of blue and white sets the scene with blue and white linens, blue and white hydrangeas, a blue and white ginger jar, and a blue and white Chinese porcelain beverage chiller.

Wicker of course with wicker lampshades, wicker candle holders, and a wicker vase. Lemons, limes, and flowers from the garden add color and natural elements. Shop the collection here.

I personally love hydrangeas for the table. They are unscented and do not have airborne pollen so are good for people with allergies. At my Publix, they are $4 for 2 massive stems/heads, so $8 worth is enough for even a large centerpiece. 

To make your hydrangeas last - cut the hydrangea stems at an angle under running water and immediately place in your vase filled with cold water. Hydrangeas like cold water - add a few ice cubes to the water when you think of it. Hydrangeas form sap at the stem end very quickly preventing it from taking up water. If your hydrangea stem wilts, recut the stem end and immediately plunge the stem into boiling water. It will revive!

 My cut hydrangeas last an average of 2 weeks.

  1. Very pretty. I almost always have blue potted hydrangeas in my dining room this time of year. I love them, but for some reason, I am having the hardest time finding them.
