The Ten Most Expensive Neighborhoods

Hose Beautiful/Zillow

I am not vouching for the accuracy of this list, but according to Zillow data, 7 of the 10 most expensive neighborhoods in the country are here in Florida. I was surprised that New York and Texas are not on the list.

Note that all 10 are in only two states, Florida and California. People sure are willing to pay for sun and warm weather. At my wine tasting last night, the refrain from everyone is how they love the warm weather and can't deal with snow and cold anymore. Extreme weather in California and Florida does not seem to deterring people as of now. Tomorrow I will share my recipe from last night's Pacific Northwest Wine Tasting & Pairing. It was a crowd pleaser and super easy to make.

A high today of 76 degrees. I can't complain. Don't forget to set your clocks ahead tonight.

  1. My brother was the executive chef at Port Royal in Naples. So beautiful.

  2. These lists aren’t reliable. They will include different criteria (walkability, amenities, diversity, etc) in order to change up the names every year. Done years my village makes the lists. Other years it’s excluded because they are only counting towns of a larger size.

All those towns are very nice. There are many many equally nice towns.

    1. This list only looked at cost - it is the most expensive neighborhoods, not a list of "best" or the like which looks at the criteria you mentioned.

  3. I wonder how Zillow made their calculations. I'm surprised that Atherton, CA and Sagaponak, NY are not on the list.

Florida has such beautiful beaches. I had planned for some time to move from CA to FL, but now that I see that the price of homeowner's insurance is just as bad as it is here I am having second thoughts.

  4. I’m surprised Pacific Heights and Hamptons aren’t on that list
