A Chinoiserie Easter

CCC

Easter is coming to CCC. Who says an Easter basket has to be filled with eggs? My Sarah Bray bamboo handbag does double duty as a chinoiserie Easter basket with a beachy vibe filled with a collection of seashells.

Here is my Ballard Designs Bunny Williams silver wire cachepot filled with eco-friendly recycled paper grass and foil wrapped chocolate Easter eggs.

I streamed Anora last night which, as you will recall, won the Oscar for best picture, best actress, best director, and a slew of other awards. Trust me on this, go rewatch Pretty Woman instead. I wish someone had warned me.

  1. I really love the champagne cooler with the artificial grass and foil wrapped bunny. You're giving me lots of good decorating ideas for Easter, Beth. Easter may be my favorite time of the year. Perhaps because it's the beginning of Spring. I love all the Easter colors, bunnies, baskets and little animals.

Sorry about the movie. I rarely go the the movie theater anymore because there just isn't much out there I care to see. I think the last time I went to the theater was to see Killers of the Flower Moon. As I recall it was over three and a half hours long, with no intermission! Many of these movies are shown on IMAX with extremely large screens, but theaters are so small now that audiences have to turn their heads from side to side to take in everything. Not an enjoyable viewing experience, in my opinion.

  2. Like you, my husband and I were anxious to see Anora after it won awards in every category. After less than 15 minutes, we turned it off in disgust. We found it utterly repulsive. There are scenes in some movies with sexual content which are handled less graphically. This was borderline pornography.

    1. And then it became very violent. And they wonder why movie ticket sales are way down!

  3. Funny that you mention Pretty Woman. A story about the iconic outfits worn by Julia Roberts in the movie popped into my news feed yesterday. Loved it!
