Crazy Easy Gourmet Pasta Dish

Boursin - Garlic & Fine Herbs

I made this last night for dinner and it is amazingly good and so easy. Cook a half pound of pasta of your choice al dente. I used penne but linguine or any pasta works great. Drain the pasta reserving a bit of the pasta water and put the pasta back in the pot (off the stove).

Add a package of Boursin and a couple spoonfuls of the pasta water and toss. Add more water slowly as needed. Add some baby spinach leaves and cover for 2 or 3 minutes to wilt. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!!!

BTW, Boursin is often buy one get one free at Publix and they last in your refrigerator for months. I always have some in my fridge and of course there is always pasta in the pantry, so you can whip this up in minutes anytime. Add a salad and a bottle of white wine and you can entertain guests!

  1. You can also add some shrimp or sausage to make it more hearty.

  2. Years ago a friend shared a recipe that quartered a package of Boursin and put each piece on top of a salmon filet and then zapped them in the microwave. Easy and delicious.

  3. Thank you for posting this easy, tasty recipe, Beth. I love Boursin. I've tried their other flavors, but the garlic with fine herbs is my favorite, and my local Trader Joe's sells it for less than other stores.

  4. It freezes well too. I get a bunch around the holidays. Love this idea though. I think I'll try this weekend.
