Golf Cart Ornaments |
In fact, I had my house all decorated by Thanksgiving. I do have these two darling golf cart ornaments arriving today - a last minute addition to my Florida Christmas tree. My community has a golf course and everyone drives around here on their golf carts, so I had to grab these.
And with all the Black Friday sales starting days early, I had all my Christmas shopping done early too. I have never been so chill over the holidays. I can relax and enjoy my home and my decorations and my holiday parties and festivities without stressing out over my To Do List. I have no To Do list! And I have longer to enjoy the decorations too because I love CCC decorated for Christmas.
So I have officially started a new tradition at CCC, decorating early!
I have to add that the November/December print issue of House Beautiful was such a disappointment. The rooms were largely dark and depressing. No Christmas decorations. I use to look to look so forward to the December issues of magazines for Christmas decorating inspiration. No more! It was in the trash in minutes. I think it's time to let that subscription go too.
I'll try to take some photos of CCC today all decorated for the holidays. No lack of Christmas here!
I share your disappointment with House Beautiful and have let my decades long subscription go. Shelter magazines used to be something I looked forward to receiving every month. I no longer subscribe to any!
ReplyDeletePrint magazines have gone kablooie! I still get two: The English Home and FLOWER which is published here in Birmingham.
ReplyDeleteMy late father would have loved these golf cart ornaments, Beth. I love them too. The only shelter magazines I enjoy and subscribe to are Veranda and Flower. I like some of the English ones, but their subscriptions are considerably more expensive. Others I loved, such as Southern Accents, are sadly no longer published. There are so many digital sources out there for beautiful design and decoration.
ReplyDeleteSo glad I saved all my holiday issues of Southern Accents and Veranda. Wouldn’t part with them for love or money. Still discovering fabulous ideas decades later.
DeleteTry Canadian House and Home and/or Style at Home. Canadian magazines still show Christmas decor. And Veranda is still lovely. House Beautiful was SUCH a disappointment this time.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas, Beth. So sad and silly that once eagerly-awaited December magazines now barely contain anything Christmasy. Is it somehow politically incorrect to do so because of inclusivity? Does it have to do with advertisers? Have we now come to this? I have many friends who do not celebrate Christmas and have no problem with us doing so and we feel likewise about whatever holidays they choose to celebrate. Oh well….
ReplyDeleteWhere are the golf carts from? Would love to order next year.
Hear-hear, I agree on all counts. Merry Christmas! 🎄💚🎄
