Metallic Morrissey Sweater |
When I was a teenager, I had a tennis sweater that I loved. I often wore it playing tennis on chilly summer mornings as I went to camp for many summers in Wisconsin. I also loved it paired with madras shorts or white slacks or tied jauntily around my neck.
A staple of Ivy League style, the cricket sweater, also known as a tennis sweater, is a preppy icon. Dating back to the 1920s, it was originally worn by British sportsmen before becoming popularized by the Prince of Wales.
I saw this and have to add it to my wardrobe - a little gift to myself after a stressful last month. This version is so chic -
"Perfectly preppy, the Stripe Metallic Morrissey Sweater adds major style cred to your fall wardrobe. With a relaxed fit, cable knit texture, and woven metallic detail, this sweater can be dressed up or down. We chose to style it with jeans, penny loafers, and a tote for day or trousers, heels, and a mini bag for a more elevated look."

I love the gold metallic thread and relaxed fit. I will wear this for the holidays with black slacks or with a ballgown skirt. I have a navy gingham ballgown skirt it would be lots of fun with for hosting at CCC over the holidays.
Have a great weekend. I have had way too much on my plate the past month and things have finally calmed down. I am looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend. Hope you are too.
