Jackson Noble Fir Tree |
So, I wanted a new artificial Christmas tree for the great room. I was very interested in one with all the latest technology with the lights automatically connecting through the pole. I also wanted a noble fir, my favorite Christmas tree, and I really didn't feel like spending $1,000 or more for something sight unseen like some of the online Christmas tree stores.
I had seen amazing reviews for the Jackson Noble Artificial Christmas Tree at Home Depot so I headed to my local Home Depot. They had it on display in the 7.5' Slim, 7.5' Full, and 9' Full. They were all gorgeous. They look and even feel real. I even like the LED lights - they are the micro dot in warm white. The tree has a foot pedal and a remote control with 9 different light functions.
"Bring the Christmas magic into your home with this 7.5 ft. Pre-Lit LED Jackson Noble Fir Artificial Christmas Tree from Home Accents Holiday. Innovative quick connect integrates the power cord into the trunk of the tree so there's only one plug. Connect each section then watch your tree shine bright. Tree includes an easy on/off foot pedal, function control box, remote control, and metal stand."
A tip - even though the tree was in stock - the box was huge and very heavy. Shipping is free!!! I went home and ordered it online and it was delivered the next day FEDEX overnight and the lovely FEDEX man even carried it into my great room. Save your car and your back (or your husband's back) and choose free shipping please.
When it arrived, I put the stand on the floor. I inserted the bottom section and tightened the screw and plugged it into the wall. It lit up. Then inserted the middle section. It lighted. Then inserted the top section. It lighted. Poured myself a glass of wine. Less than 10 minutes including pouring the wine.
I love the shape - full but not fat. There is not a single solitary visible wire on the entire tree. The lights are tiny and warm - even though they are LED, I really like them. It looks so real it is amazing. And the technology - wow. All you do is fit the three sections into each other and the whole thing lights up - it is like magic.
Wait, did I mention the tree is $299!!!!!!!!!!!

It also available in 7.5 foot slim, a 9 foot, and a 12 foot.
I love this tree. It checks all my boxes. And for the inevitable comment about not smelling like a fresh tree, fresh trees loose that smell in a day or two anyway. Burn a candle that smells like a fir tree instead. This one is even on sale - buy one get the second one 50% off.

I plan to decorate it this weekend and I will post pics. Have a great weekend. We are finally getting a cold front here - it has been close to 90 degrees for months. Sunny and hot can get old - LOL.
Beautiful tree, but I'm sticking with the Grandin Road tree that you recommended last year!
ReplyDeleteI love that tree - using it in another spot this year! I am putting up 3 trees!
DeleteOver time (and multiple purchases), I've learned to buy trees that have some daylight coming through the branches. It makes all the difference in how the ornaments hang on the tree. If the branches are too fat and full, the baubles will recline on the greenery.
ReplyDeleteI agree - this one is perfect - just the right amount of spaces.
DeleteThank you!! Great advice. I always do a real tree, but will reconsider after reading this (and paying $$$$ for a big tree last year).
ReplyDeleteVery cool, Beth, and at a great price, with free shipping to boot. I haven't yet made that leap to artificial trees, though. In spite of the extra work, I just love a real tree. 3 trees - oh my gosh!
ReplyDeleteI can't afford a Christmas tree, but I got some beautiful moss covered branches and pinecones for the mantle when I went foraging last Monday. It's going to be a beautiful Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Beth - you've answered my (husband's) prayers! Just as I was fussing with our 10-yo tree from Costco, and after hiring an electrician last year to replace a plug, your post helped me decide to bite the bullet a get a new one. I loved all the things you mentioned about it and we've gotten our money's worth out of the last one. A 9' is arriving tomorrow and I opted in on the rolling storage bag, too. Yay!! Can't wait to set it up this weekend. :-)
