Studio McGee Wicker Christmas Trees |
This collection just launched at 3 am ET - that is why I am posting now. I am not normally up at this time, but CAT 4/5? Hurricane Milton is headed right here mid week and I have been checking for updates. This incredibly rare storm formed in the Pacific, hopped over Mexico, and now is intensifying in the Gulf.
The irony that John Milton's greatest poem is Paradise Lost is not lost on me. Two timely quotes -
“What hath night to do with sleep?”
― John Milton, Paradise Lost
“Into this wild Abyss/ The womb of Nature, and perhaps her grave--/ Of neither sea, nor shore, nor air, nor fire,/ But all these in their pregnant causes mixed/ Confusedly, and which thus must ever fight,/ Unless the Almighty Maker them ordain/ His dark materials to create more worlds,--/ Into this wild Abyss the wary Fiend/ Stood on the brink of Hell and looked a while,/ Pondering his voyage; for no narrow frith/ He had to cross. ”
― John Milton, Paradise Lost
This is my third hurricane this season - this is getting old....
On a happy note, this new collection has some fantastic pieces for Christmas at fabulous prices. The Studio McGee Christmas collection last year sold out crazy fast. Just a head's up.
Shop the entire collection here. Shipping is free with a $35.00 order. Most if not all of these Christmas Collection pieces are not sold in stores and only online, so I recommend ordering online.
I'm here in SRQ. Hurricane fatigue is REAL! Stay safe friend!
ReplyDeleteBeth, what evacuation zone are you in? Calling for Zones A and B in Sarasota County right now to get out. Could change though. The problem is you’d need to leave now. Clogged roads will be a nightmare very quickly, if not already.
ReplyDeleteStay safe!
To say "Stay safe" doesn't really work anymore. These storms are beyond frightening. If you are told to evacuate, will you? Have many friends in your part of Florida and so far all I hear is, they will ride it out. There is no riding a wind that blows 145M/ hour.
ReplyDeleteI learned more about this storm from you than the weather channels I'm tuned into.
No, John Milton was right. The night is not your friend. Thank you for the quotes from Paradise Lost.
Target was sold out of the things I was interested in. You should be offered a private shopping trip to their store.
Beth, do the best you can in the coming days. You will be on my front burner until I know you and the little ones are safe.
K
Sending best wishes for your safety and to your neighbors!
