Tropical Chinoiserie

Amanda Lindroth

Since moving to South Florida, my favorite interior design style has definitely become chinoiserie that has a beachy, tropical, coastal, island vibe. Nobody does this better than Amanda Lindroth.

This space includes so many of my favorite things - Chinese Chippendale chairs, a round pedestal table, a pagoda lantern centerpiece, pieces of coral, pink, blue, and palm tree art. There is also the wildly popular rattan bar cart set with a blue and white Chinese porcelain wine chiller, a pineapple, and a Nassau Royale Liquer Bahama Policeman Decanter.

Amanda's much anticipated (especially by me) second book Island Dreaming is just weeks away from its release. You can pre-order it here.

Island Dreaming by Amanda Lindroth

Speaking of tropical, I am in the middle of a tropical storm here at CCC - a likely category 4 hurricane Helene to the west of me. My prayers to all those in the path of this monster storm. BTW, Hurricane Ian was September 28th two years ago - there is definitely something about late September! Stay safe.
