The Chinoiserie Foyer

This foyer is in the gorgeous Atlanta home I posted on yesterday named Villa Juanita.

In the dramatic foyer, a new black-and-white geometric floor of hand-cut slab stone becomes a stage for a Georgian chinoiserie highboy and vintage chairs, all set against handmade plaster and carved stone. 

The appliqué chair detailing is by Samuel & Sons.

Atop the chinoiserie highboy is a collection of blue and white Chinese porcelain ginger jars and a pair of black Chinese vases. I mentioned yesterday the Florida vibe in this home although it is in Atlanta. The large wading bird print in another example.
