The Blue and White Table - Oscar de la Renta

Oscar de la Renta - Vogue

From Oscar and Francoise de la Renta's New York City townhouse circa 1971. The stunning table is set with blue and white and chinoiserie. Oscar de la Renta had such great style. Not just in fashion, but his homes were gorgeous. His house in Punta Cana is a great favorite of mine.

My wedding gown was by Oscar de la Renta. Many of my most loved home accessories are from his wonderful home collections. And Oscar de la Renta earrings are favorites of mine.

I love round skirted dining tables. I have one in my breakfast room and it is my preferred spot for dining. The blue and white zebra print tablecloth is by Porthault. I love the idea of each person having their own decanter. Note how the zebra print napkins are scalloped and piped in blue. So chic! Vintage blue and white Chinese cat teapots are easily found at places like eBay and Etsy - it makes a darling centerpiece. I also like the bud vases as opposed to a larger floral centerpiece. So many great ideas to borrow.

Have a great weekend!

  4. I love the individual decanter idea! How large are yours and do you have an idea for sourcing?

  5. Oscar de la Renta and Hubert Givenchy are my two favorite fashion designers. Their clothes were always so feminine, and yet so chic.

It's a gorgeous table, and I'm wild about that upholstery fabric on the sofa in the background. I wonder what it is. Whatever it is, it's probably no longer available.
