I love using blue and white Chinese porcelain inside, outside, and in my lanai. This is a beautiful example by Willam C. Huff and Heather Dewberry. 

Proteas are wonderful cut flowers. They are native to Africa and have such an exotic and otherworldly look it is hard to believe they are real. Just check the water and replenish it frequently as they are very thirsty drinkers.

Blue and white Chinese porcelain vases and ginger jars are of course great containers for cut flowers, but jars like these double happiness jars are perfect, especially as centerpieces because they are not too tall.
