In Amanda Lindroth's home in Lyford Cay in the Bahamas, much of the furniture, wicker, and shutters are painted a beautiful green.
The color is inspired by British theater and set designer Oliver Messel, who renovated many homes in Barbados and Mustique that prominently featured a similar color. In many parts of the Caribbean, "Messel green" is a household term for the color.
He used his signature green on trim and shutters throughout his classical projects in Barbados and Mustique. It can best be replicated through Benjamin Moore’s Southfield Green. Amanda Lindroth loves to use this color on tired wicker furniture—"gives everything a refreshing touch!” –Amanda Lindroth
The color is between mint and sage green.

This green is stunning with blue and white. This would be a great choice for patio furniture, wicker, shutters, doors, a porch, or a beach house.
