Old School Chinoiserie

Lisa Henderson Interiors - Coastal Living

I think you will find this home quite interesting. This newly decorated Palm Beach townhome is featured in the Spring 2023 Coastal Living, but it looks like it could have been done anytime in the last forty years. This is an excellent example of timeless, old school chinoiserie with wonderful chinoiserie fabrics, color, wicker, blue and white Chinese porcelain, Chinese garden stools, grasscloth, all with a Florida vibe.

This sophisticated but fun daughter's bedroom in pink and green features two Quadrille patterns - Tulip Multicolor and Lyford Background.

Here are more pictures of this home. The chair is done in the iconic chinoiserie Quadrille fabric Lyford Trellis.

This guest bedroom features Quadrille's Arbre de Matisse that covers virtually everything for a very cohesive look.

The living room is done in more Quadrille chinoiserie fabrics - Enchanted Garden Bamboo and Lyford Trellis. I love the hot pink mohair sofa trimmed in Samuel & Sons. The wall color is Pale Powder by Farrow & Ball used in may spaces in this home. This wonderful chameleon paint color looks green in the sun and blue in shade.

The master bedroom features Quadrille's Lorraine fabric in turquoise and green. The canopy bed was custom made in India. The lamps are Christopher Spitzmiller.

This dining room is wonderful. The chinoiserie chair fabric is Ferrick Mason. The vintage brass palm floor lamp was a Paris find. The scalloped jute rug is a casual beachy choice.

  2. The two panels in the dining room are gorgeous! Wish I knew who makes them. Not so fond of the yellow lamps...the color seems jarring...
