Califlorida Cool

I love what is often called California Cool, the beachy blue and white decorating style that evokes the feel of living on the coast of California.

I jokingly entitled this post Califlorida Cool, the Florida interpretation of this style that is a bit more Palm Beach - a glammed up version with things like palm tree decor, antiques, and coral pink and green that I have embraced at CCC.

Serena & Lily is a great online and brick and mortar source for this look and they have just opened a store in Palm Beach.

In the photo above, I have just added the Serena & Lily Jute Border Rug. This is the denim colorway - it comes in several colors and lots of sizes. In the photo below is an original piece of art by Kayce Hughes, a wonderful artist who has had many collaborations with Serena & Lily.

      They are antique books bound in patent leather - I have them in many colors. From a Chairish seller.

    I bought a California beach getaway place and have been furnishing it in the Coastal Grannie style - probably because I am one! But my heart belongs to the this more gussied up Palm Beach version.
