Royal Stewart Tartan Jamie Dress |
I am crazy about tartan. I lived for many years in Alexandria, Virginia that has very strong Scottish roots. My favorite event of the year was always The Scottish Walk, the first weekend in December, that was three days of round the clock Scottish festivities including a heather and greens sale, a Scotch whisky and food tasting gala, and a wonderful parade. For the gala, many men would wear tuxedo jackets with authentic kilts, and many women had gorgeous tartan gowns. I had a floor length strapless silk taffeta gown in Black Watch tartan that I loved. It had a matching stole too.
So I have rounded up some lovely tartan choices for this holiday season. I've included some fun accessories too. Click on the captions to link. Here is a closeup of the dress above - such a pretty collar.
A festive update to the fan favorite style, the Royal Stewart Jamie Dress is ready to take you through the holiday season in comfort and style. Featuring a classic tartan pattern and a decorative frill collar, the details in this midi are oh so chic and festive. Pair this vintage caftan with shimmery statement earrings and heels for a glam party look and switch to boots and a leather jacket for a cool girl holiday vibe. Bonus: this is a no-spanx-required dress!
As you know, I adore caftans here in Florida and this tartan caftan is fabulous. I had a follower leave a comment last week asking for a post on holiday dressing that covers arms and knees for older women. This would be a great choice and this one just below too!
Will you be somewhere warm for the holidays? I love these tartan sandals.
Beth, so many great choices for the holidays, from the beautiful dresses to the darling earrings. Thank you so very much for ideas covering the knees and arms. Greatly appreciated!!
