Serena & Lily Balboa X Stool |
The X stool/bench has become such a classic. It is a perfect choice for under an entryway table, at the foot of a bed, at a vanity, for extra seating in the living room; it has so many uses.

Serena and Lily has come out with its rattan wrapped Balboa X-Base Stool. Everything about this stool reflects thoughtful design – from the classic X-base to the brass end caps on each leg. The solid beech frame is hand-wrapped in rattan to achieve just the right texture and variation in tone. Finished with a white performance cushion, it has a nice tailored look. I've always wanted to try wrapping, or upholstering, a case piece of furniture. I have some pieces of furniture with good, clean lines, but are very blah and nothing special, so it wouldn't be a loss if I made a mistake. I don't think I could manage a rattan wrap. It seems like working with the texture of rattan would be very rough. Beautiful images.
ReplyDeleteWhat about using grass cloth wallpaper to wrap it?
DeleteI am not a DIY type - I am too much of a perfectionist.
DeleteGrass cloth would be great. If you are a perfectionist, then you would make a terrific DIY-er, Beth.
