I so love this feminine and eclectic bedroom in a wonderful color palette of coral pink and green. The coral chest is vintage. I adore the wicker pagoda canopy - it was a Round Top find originally in a Florida department store window display in the 1960's. Most accessories are vintage finds. The magnolia wallpaper is Thibaut found on eBay.
A few ideas to borrow. I love the coral chest above and the coral breakfront example below. Painting an outdated brown wood vintage piece of furniture is such a great way to lighten and brighten it up and give it new life. I'm not sure what color coral these are painted. I have always loved Benjamin Moore Coral Gables 2040-10.

This wonderful coral below is Benjamin Moore Coral Pink 2003-50. Coral pink is amazing with blue and white Chinese porcelain. This is one of my all time favorite spaces.

The coral botanical in Melissa Smrekar's bedroom is part of a trio from Urban Garden - an excellent source for fine art prints including a wonderful selection of chinoiserie. Click here.
I also like the wicker lamp shade in her bedroom. If you are looking to update a table lamp or floor lamp, these wicker lamp shades are great and come in several sizes.
I also love this conical rattan shade.
The shams look like they might be Amanda Lindroth's Batik Sham in Coral. It is currently on sale in both European and standard on a wonderful tag sale - on sale plus an additional 25% off. (The additional 25% off will appear in your cart). I love the trimmed scalloped edges.
Also available in a beautiful quilt in queen or king.
Check out Amanda Lindroth's Memorial Day Tag Sale here. Take an additional 25% off the sale prices with the additional discount taken in your cart. Some wonderful wicker pieces are on sale too like her wicker pineapple and wicker pagoda.
LOVE all of it, it's right up my alley. A happy look that reminds me of the Colony in Palm Beach--my all time fave on every level.
ReplyDeletePink and green is so Palm Beach.
DeleteSuch a beguiling room. The pink is so soft and romantic and lush. Makes me want to redecorate right this minute!
ReplyDeleteI agree, I need another house.
DeleteThis is just so fun. I love it when an element of fantasy or whimsy is injected into a room. Pinks and corals are, perhaps, two of my favorite colors. It's hard to say, there are so many beautiful ones!
ReplyDeleteThat wicker pagoda canopy is amazing.
DeleteThe pic of the Mary McDonald room was the inspiration image I used for my daughter's bedroom. We added lots of chintz curtains, my daughter's collection of antique cat art, Scalamandre Leopardo silk velvet, painted a vintage chinoiserie chest a pink/coral, lots of blue and white porcelain and a brass and crystal chandelier. It turned out so over the top and magical. She loves it!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds fabulous!
DeleteThat coral is one of my very favorite colors. In fact, I had our dining room chairs painted in that color. That breakfront! I die. LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteI have quite a few vintage faux bamboo pieces painted coral in my home! That color seems to work with everything!
ReplyDeleteVery true, it looks good with everything.
