Did you know that the original Birkin bag was wicker? Jane Birkin found her wicker bag in a fishing village in Portugal and wore it literally everywhere - shopping in Paris, on the beach in the south of France, skiing in cashmere, fur, and wicker, in Cannes in a black and gold cocktail dress with her wicker bag. The Hermès Birkin bag was born when she was seated on a flight next to Hermès executive Jean-Louis Dumas and all the contents spilled out of her wicker bag in an overhead compartment.

I have amassed quite a collection myself and wear them every single day here in South Florida. And I get so many compliments they are all are so fun and unique.
