Danielle Rollins posted on Instagram this stunning needlepoint backgammon set she has been giving as client gifts. I love backgammon - I was addicted to playing it in law school. The seashells are too fun. I found the same one on Chairish but it is sold. Perhaps she bought this vintage one and had it reproduced.

This one on Lycette is quite similar -
And check out this chinoiserie backgammon board -
Although I can needlepoint, I would much rather find one already finished. I'd rather be sitting by the pool playing backgammon.
Here are some other great choices for chinoiserie games perfect to bring on spring and summer beach vacations for fun times with family or friends.
Beth, your blog is the first one I read every morning. Such eye candy! I wanted to let you know that I tried your fabulous scallop recipe. I went to my local WD here in coastal AL and bought the last 2 bags of the large scallops. I followed your recipe exactly, even serving with the rice. Needless to say, it was a huge hit. I'll be serving it to guests in a few days. Looking forward to seeing pix of your beautiful new range.
ReplyDeleteYou made my day! I'm so happy you liked it. Sea scallops are so expensive in restaurants and I love them. This to me is such a great and easy recipe to make at home. Thanks for your comment.
DeleteI've never played backgammon in my life, but these boards are beautiful, as are everything else. I'm not much of a game player. I'm more of a gardener, but these make me want to reconsider.
ReplyDeleteI am more of a gardener as well, but these are great for a rainy or snowy day, vacations, and such.
DeleteHave you seen all the different chinoiserie playing cards from Caspari? They are quite marvelous!
ReplyDeleteBoth of the blue and white pagoda toile are Caspari, and I have posted many of the other Caspari ones in past posts. I am a huge Caspari fan.
