  1. I love beautiful finials! They are like the jewelry on a gorgeous outfit. Have you found pink bulbs for chandeliers?

    1. There are no similar pink chandelier bulbs - there are pink but tacky looking bright pink that would not work at all.

  2. Tried ordering the pink bulbs but they can't ship to California. Apparently we are only allowed to purchase LED bulbs now. The finials are beautiful!

    1. Other followers have commented on this in the past. The California lightbulb gestapo or as Marjorie Taylor Greene would say, the lightbulb gazpacho.

    2. Beth, we here in California support our switchover LED lightbulbs, but it would be great to have the pink LED bulb option, too, of course. I hope you will consider contacting some of the lightbulb manufacturers and requesting that they make some. You have some sway, as you are a prominent decorator.

  3. I have always loved all things Chinoiserie. I'm helping my ex-husband redo our old house and he bought a very handsome pair of blue and white lamps. You've heard that old rule about when you're going out the door remove one accessory from your outfit? I think finials are like earrings; you can't get too matchy-matchy (a term of my mother's). It's all your personal aesthetic but the lamps were so balanced that I went with finials that basically disappear. I agree completely about the pink bulbs; when I first read about them possibly being unavailable I bought 100 online. They soften every room and I can't live without them. I love all your recommendations; they make me re-think some design decisions. I can take you through every room and point something out that you've been behind the purchase. How do you feel about large Italian ceramic animals? This weekend I picked up a stunning white camel with blue harness and tassesls. It's my new favorite thing and looks great in a room with a green Chinese art deco rug that has blue and orange accents.

    1. I can't get beyond the sentence about your helping your ex-husband redo your old house. Wow. I LOVE Italian ceramic garden stools and they are quite valuable - especially a camel. Please tell me that it is for your house and not your ex-husband's or you'll ruin my day. LOL. I'm so pleased I have been an influence on your home. Thank you for your comment.

    2. You're so funny - but I thought same - "couldn't get over the ex-husband line" - LOL. Kudos to her !

  4. I bought some (4) of the pink light bulbs you recommended just because I wanted to try them before buying a bunch. I really liked the soft light it created!

Unfortunately, the first light bulb burnt out in a couple of hours. No problem, I thought. We replaced it the next night...only to have the 2nd bulb burn out as well.

Hubby said the light bulbs were fine for the lamps, so I'm not sure what to think. Super bummed, though, because I really liked the soft light...I guess maybe the pink light bulbs didn't like our lamps.

    1. The filaments were obviously damaged in shipping. I assume you called customer service and had them send free replacements? Amazon's customer service is excellent. I use these bulbs in every single lamp and have for years and have never had a problem. The only way the pink bulbs would not "like your lamps" is if the wattage was too high for your particular lamps. Please contact customer service.

    1. I suspect they may have been custom made out of a pair of ginger jars.

  6. LUV unique finials. I even have several strictly for the Christmas season, i.e. Tree, Santa, Nutcrackers, etc.
