Maize Lanterns |
Woven lanterns are the epitome of the relaxed beachy coastal vibe. I love using them for dining whether outdoors, in a lanai, screened porch, breakfast room or dining room.
These woven seagrass ones below by Serena & Lily are very pretty and cost $48 for the small, $98 for the medium, and $128 for the large.

I found these Target Threshold woven maize versions that I love. They have a nautical look and a great price at $30 and $50.

Woven lanterns are also great on bookshelves, coffee tables, side tables, kitchen counters - anywhere you could use a coastal organic element and a soft glow. I like using battery operated flameless candles in them.
I have been very happy with this set that is less than $3 a candle and even has a remote control and a timer. I bought mine over a year ago and all are still working perfectly. They are real wax and look great. You can use the remote or you can set them to come on at the same time every day for 2/4/6 or 8 hours.

Speaking of batteries, I experimented a while back and tried the Amazon Basics Batteries and they are excellent - very long lasting and a very substantial savings over name brands. They are the only ones I use now. I have lanterns with flameless candles indoors and out and have them all set to come on at sunset. It is so beautiful. These batteries last me for ages. Give them a try.
