CC Super Bowl Pick & Decorating Picks

Male Bengal Tiger - Wikipedia

I am a huge football fan and was not happy about the announced retirement of Tom Brady. But I am super excited about this Sunday's Super Bowl even though the Bucs are not in it.

My pick to win the Super Bowl is definitely the Cincinnati Bengals. First, it is the Chinese Year of the Tiger. Second, I have been following their quarterback Joe Burrow since his college career and I think he may be a young Tom Brady.

And here are some very chic tiger decorating ideas in honor of the Cincinnati Bengals and the Chinese Year of the Tiger.

I am making a pot of my favorite Cincinnati chili to have tomorrow 5 ways (spaghetti, chili, beans, onion, cheddar). I hope you have a great weekend whatever your plans.

  1. The Patricia Altschul/Mario Buatta library is my favorite room ever!! I love absolutely everything about it. I have desperately tried to find the name of the chinoiserie fabric on the sofa to no avail. Do you have a clue to what it is?

    1. No - I double checked and the Architectural Digest and other articles on this house just refer to it as a chinoiserie fabric.

    2. Maybe Le manach chinoiserie fabric pagoda and bridges.

    4. I think you are correct that it is Le Manach. They were acquired by Pierre Frey and it might still be available through them.

  2. Beautiful rooms! I seem to recall you saying your interiors are BM Classic Gray. Would you say it trends more toward white or gray? I am struggling to choose a paint color for my master bedroom that has dark furniture and blue and white chinoiserie bedding. I don't want the room to look too dark but pure white walls seems a bit bland. Thank you!

    1. It is gorgeous! It is a darker warm off white or very light gray depending on the light in the room. In rooms with lots of light it reads white. In darker rooms it reads a warm very soft gray. It can even read beige at times or a bit green. I do not care for stark whites personally and I love sophisticated chameleon like colors that look different in different lights and different times of day. It is great with blue and white.

    2. Thank you so much! I agree about chameleon colors. Currently my bedroom is Palladian Blue which has been wonderful, but I'm ready for a change. Time to order my paint samples!

    3. Definitely order paint samples from Samplize - overnight FEDEX shipping now and play around with it for a few days. Good luck!

  3. That picture of the Bengal tiger just stopped me in my tracks. What a magnificent animal! I'm a sucker for animals anyway. I love all of them, wild and domestic. If I could, I would own an entire animal reserve. Love your "au savage" decorating ideas, Beth. I don't follow football, but hope your Bengals win on Sunday. Will you be having a Superbowl party? Thank you for the fun post.

    1. I want goats, chickens, pigs, llamas, alpacas, horses, and more dogs. I am not having a Super Bowl party because I actually want to watch the game. LOL
