Isn't this fun for decorating for New Year's Eve with Chinoiserie Chic style for those of us entertaining at home? Set the table in blue and white. Use a pair of large blue and white ginger jars sans lids or as here white Chinese vases as your centerpiece filled with blue and white lanterns hung from bamboo poles.
Bamboo poles can be found in the garden section of places like Home Depot or Lowe's and the paper lanterns from party stores or Amazon. These Amazon links are for delivery tomorrow or Wednesday.
Not blue and white, but these cherry blossom ones would be beautiful.
I saw this photo a couple of years ago on your blog and had silver lanterns tied to the bamboo sticks for New Years Eve. They were a big hit! Might have to do the Cherry Blossom Lanterns for Chinese New Year. Love your ideas.
ReplyDeleteSilver or gold sounds really pretty.
