Trapp Orange Vanilla |
Trapp Orange Vanilla shown at top is an orange candle that is sophisticated with an amazing throw. The term throw is one you should know if you love candles. It refers to how far the candle's aroma travels i.e. the square feet the candle's scent covers. This candle is a blend of crisp orange and Tahitian vanilla and has been a favorite of mine forever.
Ralph Lauren Rhinelander |
With a fragrant blend of Valencia orange, clove, cinnamon bark, and red amber and detailed with the iconic RL monogram, this candle comes in an elegant silver-plated-brass holder. This is spice the way it should be done.
Voluspa Baltic Amber |
Its forest scents of cedar and sandalwood make Voluspa's Baltic Amber a classic choice. With a 100 hour burn time, this Voluspa candle offers a lot of bang for the buck.
Enjoy your Sunday. I am making a big pot of Cincinnati chili and watching the Patriots and the Buccaneers play tonight. Great seats are going for $4,000 a ticket. Kickoff at 8:20 pm on NBC.
Thank you for those suggestions! I’m not a fan of pumpkin spice either
ReplyDeleteI think you'll like them.
DeleteYour blog is so much fun it should be illegal. This is hysterical and so true.
ReplyDeleteOh, THANK YOU for being a hater - lol!
ReplyDeleteLOL!
DeleteYes, I agree. Some scented items are absolutely wretched and make you want to gag. Recently I went into a Sephora Store with the idea of purchasing something called "Bum Bum Cream - I'm not kidding, that's the name of it. Well, it smelled terrible, like some fake, sweet baked thing, or something. ICK! They must use some very cheap scent ingredient. I'm digressing, Beth, but I used to buy Frederik Fekkai Body Butter, which was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS, but for whatever reason it was discontinued. (If you or your readers know of an excellent body cream or moisturizer, I would love to hear about it.) Thank you for the candle suggestions. I'll just stay with pumpkin pie.
ReplyDeleteThat's because the Bum Bum Cream has coconut oil in it that makes me throw up in my mouth. Especially combined with vanilla - yuck. I'll have to do a post on this - I have wonderful suggestions.
DeleteOMG! Epic post! I loathe pumpkin spice everything scented....gag! Can't wait to try your recs....you are just THE BEST!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you my friend.
DeleteYou just continue to crack me up! I love all things pumpkin. Being sugar, gluten free makes it a challenge. And I agree most pumpkin spice candles smell atrocious. Hers my thought…after all you’ve accomplished and survived you’re allowed to despise anything you like. I continue to read every word of every post. I hope and pray your new life is filled with joy and happiness and scents that make you happy. Happy Fall.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. I love pumpkin too - the Pumpkin Spice candles generally have little to do with pumpkin - just a huge overdose of pumpkin pie spices.
DeleteWhen I saw the title, I knew I would love this article!
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoyed!
DeleteDid not know the word "throw." Good word to know. I've used Trapp's Orange Vanilla in the fall for years, even though I'm not fond of vanilla-scented candles. This is a good one though. I'm very anxious to try your suggestions. Thanks!! 💚
ReplyDeleteI don't like vanilla candles at all, but in the Trapp version I feel that it just warms up the orange without reading as vanilla.
DeleteI love autumn and also despise pumpkin spice. But even worse is apple cinnamon. I like apples, I like cinnamon, just like I like the taste of pumpkin. But these horrible cheap "autumn" candles are just too disgusting.
ReplyDeleteI agree completely - the apple candles are repulsive.
DeleteLUV, love, LOVE your HONESTY. Such a rare trait nowadays. I concur - I despise sickly "sweet" candles or ANY sweetly scented item for that matter. I can just HURL smelling anything cocoNOT ;) My daughter purchased some Body Wash recently that made my insides TURN:( YUCK, double YUCK. Made her pitch it quick!
ReplyDeleteI hate coconut oil worse than pumpkin spice. Those and Vicks VapoRub all make me gag. You go girl.
