HomeGoods Find

CCC

This vignette is when you first enter my home. It reflects my aesthetic, especially here in Florida - an antique black and gold Chinese chest, a pair of vintage calligraphy ginger jars, a vintage Kate Spade handbag filled with sea fans, a collection of conch shells, and a favorite pair of framed botanicals.

The runner is Annie Selke's Dash and Albert Catamaran Stripe Indoor/Outdoor Runner in Denim/White. It can literally be hosed down outside. I have found it to be indestructible.

The new addition is the wicker floor lamp. The pups had spa day on Thursday and I ran over to the HomeGoods on Bee Ridge (for my local followers). I spotted two of these scalloped rattan floor lamps by Lillian August. I have seen them before in table lamps by Celerie Kemble and by Lillian August, but not in floor lamps. I bought a pair and am using the second in my study.

Here is the Celerie Kemble version called the Parasol Lamp, very popular with interior designers. It retails for $885.

Celerie Kemble Parasol Lamp

I bought the pair for $100 each. I love wicker and scallops and they fit my Florida vibe beautifully. Of course, this look is not reserved for Florida. My daughter Kate is filling their Annapolis, Maryland home with blue and white, chinoiserie, wicker, and seashells. Annapolis is known for having the best sailing in the world, so it is a very nautical/water location. But I see this look in magazines used in city apartments - everyone loves it!

This wicker shade is a great way to upgrade an existing lamp you have.

BTW, my favorite collection of unique wicker pieces is Amanda Lindroth and everything on her website is 25% off now including Tag Sale.

Happy Halloween weekend!

  3. Could you please re-share the source for the rope doormat you have outside your front door? My daughter just bought a home in San Diego (and we used to live in Maine) and I would love to get her one. Thank you!

    1. 30 Fathom - I have two and LOVE them. Everyone asks about them. They have new and reclaimed - I have the reclaimed and come in standard (18 by 30) and custom (I have the 22 by 36) sizes.
