CCC Caftan Wish List

Blair Eadie of Atlantic - Pacific

Blair Eadie of Atlantic - Pacific is one of my style icons. And guess where she was brought up and lives now - Sarasota, Florida. This is my style to a T - a caftan, earrings, flats, sunglasses, and a straw bag. If you don't follow her, you should. Her style is impeccable.

The lace caftans she is wearing are by La Vie Style House. Owning one is on my must have wish list. I think I need to buy myself a present. Here is their description of their caftans.

The caftan has been embraced by the world as a most fashionable dress fit for all occasions! Our penchant for vintage fashion finds filled our closets with caftans of every color! Made with the finest textiles from sequin to printed silks, our ‘one size’ caftan is the it dress! Its versatility is endless!! Wear a La Vie caftan in the comfort of your home visiting with loved ones or out at a swank event. Our colorful dresses will make you feel effortlessly chic!

Inspired by Elizabeth Taylor and Slim Aarons, these vintage inspired one size caftans check all my boxes - comfortable, timeless, elegant, effortless, statement pieces.

    1. It's you because I get many many thousands of click thru's every day. It is your computer - could be many different things from emptying your cache, to Firewall or antivirus software, to your proxy settings, your extensions, your browser - if you have technical support reach out to them.

  2. This is all nice but Farm Rio was special. So many things of theirs I coveted--it was love at first sight.

    1. They are apples and oranges to me. These to me I would wear to any special occasion, whereas the Farm Rio - one more is arriving today BTW - are to me more everyday attire. I adore them both.

  3. You are right, not comparable. I was just stating what appealed to me, knowing as always that these things are subjective.

  4. I love your style in fashion and in interior design. These caftans are incredible.

  5. I love caftans and adore the idea of swanning around the house looking regal and glam and still being supremely comfortable. The problem is my husband finds them a real turn off since caftans - in his view - are typically worn by bossy old ladies like Mrs. Roper on “Three’s Company” or Maud or the Golden Girls. It’s not going to stop me from collecting them since I think they’ll suit my new California beach life pretty well. But I just hate it when he calls me “Maud” every time I wear one.

    1. My ex boyfriend was the same and if you follow CC you know what happened to him - LOL.

    2. LOL! Yes, there is that association. I have not met a man who appreciates caftans, my husband included. Girls are doing it for themselves although personally I wouldn't wear something my husband hated much like I'd loathe to see him in something I hated. In fact, I'd go as far as saying, I'm not going out with you looking like that--which, btw, more women should say to their men.

    3. Confident women dress for themselves, not to please men.

  6. Love Blair!! I think she grew up in Fairfax, VA, close to your old neck of the woods.

    1. Actually, she was born in Fairfax but her father was military and she lived in Florida several times growing up, her parents bought a house in Siesta Key in Sarasota, and she went to college in Florida. She still has a place in NYC, but lives here primarily.

  8. I love the caftans, love the look, but I'm not sure I would have worn one of them to my daughter's wedding. The reception yes, the ceremony and pics no. I wear my caftans all through the hot months - comfort dressing at its best and elegant.

    1. Not all weddings are formal or in churches. It would be perfect for a beach wedding here for example.

  9. Oh, they're wonderful! Thanks so much for making me aware, Beth. I love how she's paired the first one with the matching violet and orange raffia bag. (Alas, any shade of purple next to my face does not work well with my coloring.) Love the pink one - very feminine, and the yellow stars - very fun. Does Blair have a blog or Instagram? Thanks again.
