I really think that the combination of palm fronds and chinoiserie is a marriage made in heaven. I am so fortunate to have more than a dozen palm trees and massive philodendrons in my garden for cutting. They are gorgeous and I am saving a fortune not buying flowers every week at Trader Joe's. For those who don't live in a topical venue, I have some great faux picks. (Or move down here, and we can all chinoiserie shop together). Here is some stunning inspiration.

If you don't have live palm fronds for cutting, here are some chic alternatives. Nobody will know but you and me. Use one or two stems for a modern and architectural look, more for a more traditional style. Click on the caption for more info/to purchase.
These philodendron stems are quite fantastic.

If you are familiar with my white canvas palm tree, this is a philodendron stem in white canvas. At four feet tall, these make quite a statement.
Speaking of floral, I had to share these orchid rattan napkins rings on sale. I love these. Imagine these with blue and white china and potted orchids.
I live in SW Florida and also love using my palms and greenery as an alternative to my weekly flower fix. The highlight is when the gardenias bloom though. The smell is extraordinary.
ReplyDeleteI put in two gardenias just outside the lanai. Intoxicating. I also need to plant some jasmine.
DeleteBunny's chinoiserie vessel that's exploding with palm fronds is just stunning! Blue and white, chioiserie and palms - I'm in tropical, chinoiserie heaven!
ReplyDeleteMy gardeners pruned all my philodendron and I have a display that's similar - I love the drama.
DeleteAre you finally offering affiliate links?
ReplyDeleteIf so, I'm happy for you! So many bloggers trying to sell us stuff. I'd much rather "shop" someone with discerning taste that knows a thing or two about decorating.
Thanks so much. I have just rejoined Reward Style/LTK as an Influencer. My Affiliate Disclosure is on the footer. Just working out all the kinks and in the process of setting up a Shop on LTK and here. I plan a post soon explaining all this, but a work in progress right now. I also plan to add some fashion, beauty, and entertaining, since there seems to be interest in me doing that. I am excited about adding some new features here to keep things fresh for me and my followers.
