Blue & White

Meg Braff

Blue and white with a real island, tropical, beach vibe in this pretty aqua blue featuring palm wallpaper, a faux bamboo lamp, bamboo pens and photo frame, and the iconic Elkins loop chair. Although the loop chair is not a chinoiserie design, I have posted myriad times chinoiserie rooms with a loop chair(s). This design plays so well with chinoiserie. The wallpaper in Meg Braff's Sporting D"Ete in Aqua.

Here is another view of this bedroom with Greek key bedding and a chinoiserie monogram.

  1. Full disclosure: Meg Braff is such a favorite of mine. I don’t think she has ever done a space I haven’t liked. Her sophisticated yet never stuffy style, evidenced here, is timeless elegance. So fresh and tailored. Just perfect.

  2. A pretty room that's feminine without being overly fussy or frilly. Love it!

  3. Did you catch the spectacular gold bamboo table lamp at Home Goods yesterday? And the large blue and white Ralph Lauren one? They’re gone now. 😢

  4. It's so pretty and soft. Such a calm and restful bedroom this is. I love the light blue table lamp and that very long monogrammed pillow at the head of the bed.

  5. I prefer the gorgeous Mark Sikes bedroom you shared earlier. The pale blues are more subtle, and the much-needed ballast of wood tones—or even the grounding presence of something black—keeps the light blue from feeling too weightless. Best wishes.
