Palm Beach/Palm Springs

Colony Palm Beach

A beautiful vignette featuring de Gournay Colony wallpaper created for the hotel, a fabulous wicker chair in mint green, and an elephant desk. I love the monkey. And below another Slim Aarons I am using at CCC. He was Palm Springs and environs as opposed to Palm Beach, but a perfect aesthetic for my home.

  1. I love the custom wallpaper and the decor of the new "Living Room" at the Colony Hotel. I saw the photos and story at Flower magazine online. Pure perfection. The vintage, green wicker chair and the elephant desk are divine!

  2. The Colony Hotel is my absolute gold standard of everything I love all in one place. It's pure magic starting with that particular pattern and coloration of the de Gourney wallpaper. If I won the lottery (which I don't play) it would be among the first things I splurge on.

Celerie Kemble has done an outstanding job of decorating it. Her choices in furnishings, upholstery, lighting, accessories and plants are fabulous all around. I love her work be it residential or commercial.

Slim A's photographs are also a particular favorites of mine. I don't own any because I am too hung up on the perfect setting for them which I don't have at the moment.

    1. I will have to go there soon - not far for me. I agree on the Slim Aarons - best in Florida or California or the like IMO.

  3. Love it. I've never been to The Colony, but it's on my list.

  4. To correct myself and give credit where credit is due re. Colony Hotel designers:
"In collaboration with Colony owner Sarah Wetenhall, local interior designer Mimi McMakin of Kemble Interiors Inc. and her associates Cece Bowman and Mackenzie Hodgson, and the scenic wallpaper firm de Gournay, a custom wallpaper design, aptly named the ‘The Colony,’ made its debut."

  5. I adore that lobby. I would love to have the budget for De Gournay but I have found some suitable budget friendly alternatives. Don't you love the pagoda in the Slim Aarons photo. That is my ultimate outdoor/pool house. You never told us what Slim Aarons print that you chose, but you had said it wasn't this one.

    1. When I ordered the large Slim Aarons piece, the seller gifted me with the pagoda. The big one looks great - I will post on it.
