Pineapples

HomeGoods CCC

When I hit the milestone of putting down 50 bags of mulch in the garden yesterday afternoon, I treated myself to a run to HomeGoods and found this fabulous pineapple wine cooler. (There might have been a stop to carryout a pub sub as well).

I am a bit pineapple crazy. My laundry hamper is even a pineapple! Have you noticed that pineapples work with virtually any decorating style whether chinoiserie, tropical, coastal, southern, colonial, or traditional? A sign of welcome and hospitality, pineapples are especially nice for holiday decorating. Do you use pineapple decor in your home?

  1. I love pineapples too. They work with my traditional decor in my home, and with my cottage chic at my summer condo. Chinoiserie does as well. You, dear lady, are set for your first dinner party. Lovely accents to the perfectly set table.

  2. Love this pineapple wine cooler. Wish I had one. Target had a very cute, large, 24 inch rattan pineapple planner this summer from their Opal House line which was originally $40 which I snagged for $10 at the end of the season. So many cute applications--I am currently using it as a waste can by my office coffee bar.

  4. I have a crystal pineapple in the center of my dining room chandelier. I don't have other pineapple decor. Lots of people used pineapple decor when I lived in Charlotte.

  5. That wine cooler is the cutest thing! I love most pineapple decor, but some not so much. If I remember correctly you once wrote something about colonial style pineapples vs. chinoiserie style pineapples. And that was the answer! I like the chinoiserie style. There is a difference. Cathy
