If you have not early voted, please vote today. The biggest story to come out of this election will be the number of people who voted this time. We are making history. It is exciting to be in Florida for the election - "Florida, Florida, Florida."
I have two bottles of bubbly ready to go, no matter what happens. These were on sale at Publix and the bottles are too chic for words.

Bracing for the riots in Gotham city. Saks and Macy's boarded up as well as tons of other stores. Surreal.

DeleteThe potential for rioting is unfathomable. Good grief, people. Grow the hell up. We are very anxious here but hopeful. Don't think we will sleep much the next few nights as we do not expect a definitive answer anytime soon. Fingers crossed. Love your bottles of bubbly!!! And that Chinoiserie tray is divine!

DeleteHere's one thing we can all count on: half of us WILL be disappointed.
ReplyDeleteI hope the other half will be gracious in victory and that everyone can just get past it all and work together towards goals, hopes and dreams we can all agree on. I bet there are a lot more than we allow ourselves to imagine.
Unfortunately, this country has never been more polarized. That will not change anytime soon.
DeleteI dropped my ballot off at the South County Courthouse on Friday. I looked online this morning and was happy to see my ballot had been "accepted and tabulated"!

DeleteI lived in nyc during the LA riots. NYC was paralyzed. They were bracing themselves for the riots they knew would be coming to NY. I was very young and single and didn’t get it. I couldn’t fathom how riots in LA could create such pandemonium in a city like NY. Bus service curtailed, town cars all booked taking people home. It was a ghost town - except for me, the Californian, walking back to my apartment unafraid. Obviously there were no riots in NY. The behavior was a joke and I was embarrassed for the city. I was maybe 24.

ReplyDeleteDelta is so correct, half of the voters will be disappointed and its been that way for many years following elections. (Breathing deeply and staying calm here.)
I think everyone should be disappointed. This is not what our country should be.
