I have always used lots of green in my house, but it works especially well here with the gorgeous tropical garden outdoors. I was working in the garden yesterday and decided to cut a stem for the house. I have five Split Leaf Philodendrons and this is the smallest leaf I could find - many of the leaves are over three feet. They are very dramatic in the garden.

Here are the celadon ginger jars I got at HomeGoods.
I had this saved in my files from Pinterest - this would be great framed for here.

Gorgeous finds as usual..just adding so much beauty. Love the new jars, the details are exquisite.
ReplyDeleteLove everything you are doing! Glad you are finding so many treasures! Diane
ReplyDeleteThank you - having lots of fun.
DeleteLove the celadon jars so much, would decorate arond them as a starting point. So many possibilities. Always wanted a “celadon powder room”—with the right chinoiserie wallpaper, those jars and more. It’s really time to move...
ReplyDeleteThe table is looking nice and put together. I know you’ll always be tweaking but that’s the gift that keeps on giving— the ever fluid scene that reflects your sensibilities of the moment. You know what would be fun? Snapping a photo of the table from the same vantage point every time something changes. Imagine 50 photos in a loop on yor computer like a short film? Time lapse of sorts, fun to look at and remember the set ups.
That's an interesting idea.
DeleteLove the celadon, can't believe you found those at HG. I went to our local HG recently and there was NOTHING at all to be found.
ReplyDeleteLove how your home is coming along, it's looking beautiful.
Thanks so much.
DeleteFabulous Philodendrons! My gosh, they are just gorgeous. You are so lucky to be surrounded by beautiful, lush vegetation. You're killing me, Beth, with your HG finds - those celadon ginger jars are just to-die-for!
ReplyDeleteThanks - the only bad news here is that things fly out the door at HG - if I am thinking about it, I need to grab it.
DeleteLove the celadon ginger jars!
ReplyDeleteThanks - a great color.
DeleteAdore the pool print! Can't wait to see what you choose!
ReplyDeleteI ordered a Slim Aarons that is on its way. Then it has to be framed.
DeleteHi Beth,
ReplyDeleteWho sells that fabulous photo? Thanks.
It was not identified, but will post if I find out - I like it too.
DeleteThe dining table is looking fabulous!
ReplyDeleteHave you thought about putting your long Mongolian fur bench at the dining table?
I'll experiment with that, but I do love the bench where it is now.
DeleteThe table is looking great. I think we are somehow related. I like everything you like particularly white Italian monkeys. Is that pair Vietri?
ReplyDeleteLOL - the monkeys are vintage Chelsea House.
DeleteThe table looks great. So clean and modern and fun to switch it up constantly with your latest finds.
ReplyDeleteLove bringing tropical leaves in from the garden. One leaf makes such a dramatic impact.
Thanks - I love the table and it doesn't take up a lot of visual space.
DeleteKorean made celadon is beautiful too and goes nicely with blue and white chinoiserie.
ReplyDeleteWill you share where you got the bamboo stools?❤️❤️
ReplyDeleteIf you are talking about the bamboo stool pictured here it was years ago at J.C.Penney.
DeleteI love how your home is coming along! Green is gorgeous with blue and white. I learned that lesson unexpectedly when my late husband and I bought our first home outside Toronto. It was an estate sale so it was "as is". It was a lovely 1920's home that had seen better days. The wall to wall wool carpet was very dirty. I wanted to replace it, but the kitchen and bathrooms ate up our budget. So we called in professional cleaners. They saved our budget! Their work revealed a gorgeous celadon high quality carpet. The celadon made the blue and white pop. Our dark brown furniture, mahogany, walnut and oak, looked fabulous. The right shade of celadon is a beautiful neutral.
ReplyDeleteGreat story - yes, celadon is a great neutral.
