CCC

CCC

I love blue and white Chinese porcelain and hydrangeas. I think they make a perfect combination. These pink beauties I picked up yesterday when I went to Publix for Wednesday Sushi Day.

The ginger jar on the right in the Legend of Asia photo looks just like this one I recently scored at HG.

I ordered the Samsung frame TV yesterday during Amazon Prime Days and got a great deal. I got the 55 inch with the white frame. Some of you have commented that you have this TV - I am super excited about choosing art for it - any tips?

Did you see that U.S. News & World Report has named the greater Sarasota area THE NUMBER ONE place in the entire country to retire? I done good. Another day in paradise.

  1. I also love blue and white porcelain with hydrangeas. And pink heirloom peonies in the spring. So pretty!

    1. Agree, but you can find hydrangeas all year long, not just a week or two.

  2. Bad news for those of us who live in the area
Driving without losing one’s cool brings one close to sainthood but agree the area is rich in natural beauty culture and sun

    1. I moved from DC so I find the notion that traffic is bad here to be hysterical.I have now lived in the area one year and have never experienced any traffic at all anywhere.

  3. Well yes DC driving is the worst I agree I am comparing the driving in the Sarasota/Venice area to what it was 10 years ago There has been a definite slowdown getting from point A to point B in the last 10 years And I think the drivers in VT are especially courteous and patient and I cannot say the same for FL drivers as a whole
On a brighter note I have enjoyed seeing your place come to life in a particularly charming way

    1. I've never driven in DC, but I can tell you that the San Francisco Bay Area, (where I live), has become a nightmare. I can't even begin to imagine what Los Angeles, (where I used to live), is like. YIKES! I have this fantasy about living in the English countryside. Pastoral, calm, green and not over run with people. (At least not yet.)

    2. Betty - Unfortunately, courteous Virginia drivers are a thing of the past. In Alexandria back in the day at a four way stop, nobody would move letting the other drivers go first. Now Virginia drivers have all turned into Maryland drivers.

    3. Lisa - I am not a fan of the country at all - I chose this area because it has abundant restaurants, night life, culture - that is, if we ever get beyond this pandemic. I like a lot going on.

    1. I am very visual, so I am sure I will love it. I can't stand the black box in the middle of a room look.
