HomeGoods Score |
This is a pop quiz. Do you like the gilded palm lamps I scored yesterday at HomeGoods? If you answered no, please unsubscribe from Chinoiserie Chic. LOL
Just kidding - we welcome people of all decorating faiths here. I dropped the pups off for their spa day yesterday and it is on the same road as my fave HG. So guess where I headed? I spotted these and almost fainted. As soon as they were in my cart, the lighting department manager came over and told me he had put them out literally five minutes before. He told me they have a line at the door every morning.
I am going to hide the cords with those little Command clips, but couldn't wait to show you.
Here they are lit.
Lots of questions on my vessel sinks. They are so inexpensive you will not believe it. And free shipping. And a really nice company to work with. And excellent quality.
Here you go. I have used them in two homes and love them. With the current 15% off sale and free shipping the cost is $185.00. A serious steal. Someone asked about height - the height will be perfect - you do not need to lower your countertop - most vanities are too low and you have to bend over. Just make sure the faucet is tall. I chose a quartz in white with a very subtle gray marble veining so as to not compete with the sinks. The quartz countertop was a remnant as I mentioned, so this project was so inexpensive and I simply love it. My master suite is such a retreat - you enter it through eight foot tall double paneled doors - very dramatic!

China Furniture Online Dragon Vessel Sink |
Today is garden day at Casa Chinoiserie Chic - pruning palms, garden cleanup, and selecting mulch. I am really picky with mulch. If there is time, I plan to go to a couple garden centers as well to start getting ideas. I am thrilled that I am ahead of schedule on the house and can start on the garden. The timing is great right now with all the snowbirds away.
You are so generous to share your sources and wonderful finds. Your blog is a great start to my day.
ReplyDeleteAgreed! I look forward to your blog every day.
DeleteThank you so much.
DeleteThe palm lamps are to die for! Exquisite. What a lucky find. They look wonderful in your home against your gray walls. So happy to have the source of the vessel sinks as well. They are just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWhat area of the garden are you going to work on first? Have fun.
Thanks on the sinks and lamps. I am designing the entire garden in my head and then will add things as I find them. Lots of fun.
DeleteWhat a find on both the palm lamps and especially the sinks!
ReplyDeletere gardening: just in case you haven't considered it, think about incorporating an espalier or a trellis inside or outside of your lanai.
Inside, potted in huge blue and white porcelain planters, it would look stunning to have a pair of Bougainvillea espaliers trained in an interesting pattern. Or any lush climber would do. It's a look I've been coveting forever and itching to try once back in a house and yard setting.
I agree with you, Delta. I just saw a trellised bougainvillea in a local greenhouse--here in MN, and it was so stunning, I was tempted to buy it! They also had a large bird-of-paradise which was equally tempting. Hopefully, my living in FL dreams will come true someday.
DeleteI had 6 hot pink bougainvillea that I was espaliering in the lanai in the last house. Gorgeous. Great idea.
DeleteI look forward to my morning with your blog everyday. You have found some striking pieces. The HomeGoods store is a find! Still admiring dazzling sinks.
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet. Thank you for following.
DeleteBeth, you need to be a spokesperson for HG, no kidding.
ReplyDeleteYou should reach out to their advertising/marketing department, mention your blog and all the plugs you've done for them. At best, you'll get a gig, at still best, you can keep the secret all to yourself and not get a run on that store.
I think I have already let the cat out of the bag - LOL.
DeleteI wish I could have seen your face when your eyes spotted those golden palms! Those lamps were a major score, and they certainly found the perfect home to live in. I‘D love to go shopping with you at your A+ HG store. Have fun in the garden today!
ReplyDeleteIt's good I only go once a week - can you imagine?
DeleteThose lamps!! Honestly you and Florida were meant for each other!! I know it was a long road to get to this point but here you are in Chinoiserie and palm heaven!!
ReplyDeleteSo true - the long and winding road. But now happiness.
DeleteYour wonderful HG shop must be a sign you've landed in the right place. Beautiful golden palms...sigh
ReplyDeleteThe entire store is filled with tropical Chinoiserie - crazy good.
DeleteYou made my morning. I love the palm trees! I'm going to Home Goods as soon as I finish writing this. Tiny suggestion, turn the elephant sideways so we can see him or her.
ReplyDeleteThe vessel sink is perfection. Sorry I ever doubted you.
Have a great day in the garden.
Funny re: the elephant, I tried him both ways, but you are right. Hope you had luck at HG. And I had a lovely day in the garden, thank you.
DeleteLove the new lamps! I went to a Home Goods Wednesday evening here in the Dallas area and it was slim pickings. Very disappointed. Lots of near empty shelves. Hope your garden activities were fun and productive.
ReplyDeleteTry going to all of them in your area - the one closest to me is disappointing. That's what I did and the best one is the smallest and not in the most posh area.
DeleteAlso went to a HG store near Houston, and came home Emory handed. I’m so jealous of your store and your fabulous finds! Enjoy your weekend!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry - perhaps you should experiment - there might be a good one in your area, but not the closest to you. Worth trying!
DeleteLamps are terrific, especially that lit up part. I used a copper sink, but do like the ceramic.
ReplyDeleteThanks - I love them - a bit of an Art Deco vibe. Would love to find copper.
DeleteWhat a score at HG!!! Lucky you! Thank you for sharing everything!!!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for following - sharing makes it even more fun for me.
DeleteHow do the clips hide the electric cords? Thanks for your guidance.
ReplyDeleteCommand has small clear clips that I will use to run the cords along the back of the top and then down the legs.
DeleteAfter you fix your lamps using the Command clips, would you please post some photos of what you have done? I'm having some trouble envisioning how you will hide your cords. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI will, I will pick them up today if I am out.
DeleteTHOSE LAMPS!!! I DIE!!!! They are absolutely DIVINE!!!! Congratulations on such a fantastic score! Your bathroom sinks are another treasure. Loving all of this~
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. It's great fun to decorate just for me for a change.
